Yours To Keep
just got the call back from the hard drive specialist, where i dropped my external hard drive off last night,
its pretty much the end of the road,
everything is lost.
a little while back we were discussing if we had a fire in the house, all family, pets etc. out safe, just inanimate objects. What would be the one thing that you could take out with you? And after a little think, I said it would be my hard drive
I got laughed at a little bit for it, but I don't own anything physical that cannot be replaced, I've not been given anything by anyone special that I'd want to keep as a memento, of "time spent"
all of my brothers photos, all of his video's from his camcorder from holidays he'd been on,
all of my mum and dad's photos of the family and the holidays that they had been on
everything in the world that was precious to me was on that hard drive, and that was in the form of photos and videos that I'd taken from the past 5 years, 1000's of each, plenty of video's still to be made, plenty of photos to look back on in years to come, and now I have none,
I don't care how 'pathetic' it is, or how ridiculous it sounds,
in case you didn't realise, making videos, this is me, this is what I do, probably my most favourite hobby in the world, and now they're all gone
the last 5 years of my life have been "deleted"
I can't put into words how upset I am
